Saliva

Perhaps I spoke to soon on the non-existent symptoms that started pretty much exactly at 7 weeks!!

Saliva and lots of it. Gross. I guess its the underlying queasiness that's barely there that's causing it. It's very apparent in the mornings right after I eat breakfast. This minor feeling of queasiness/nausea but not enough to feel like I might be sick. With that feeling, I have an abundance of saliva. So far, its been handled by drinking lemonade type drinks, eating (which helps for the moment) and chewing gum.

Can't say that I am not excited about the symptoms. No complaining from this pregnant momma. When I emailed my OB to inform him of the latest and greatest here is his response: "Excellent!!" I guess nausea symptoms, even if slight are a good sign.

Something else that's new for this pregnancy.

  1. The saliva is disgusting - I swear that's what makes me sick to my stomach most of the time.

  3. It is fascinating that lemon-type drinks and gum are helping because those produce even MORE saliva! I know there will be more pregnancy symptoms coming up, and I know you will definitely embrace them all! :)

  4. Yay for symptoms! I also started having some nausea in the past few days (I will be 7 weeks on Friday), not enough to get sick, but definitely there.
