Countdown....

Talk about slacking!! It's hard to keep up on blogging with my really loooooooong to do list. The last few weeks have been physically difficult and emotional. Lots to update you on:

Trying to wrap up work things while fighting the no desire to be there. Mixed with packing and finalizing plans to move. It's crazy but I will feel better in 2 weeks when I am out of my 3rd floor no elevator or parking condo. I am living among boxes and most of my place is packed. My fabulous village came and helped pack my kitchen, bedroom and living room over the past 3 weeks!! Interject trying to have my realtor show it to rent it; which means keeping it semi clean...LOL!

Baby Olive started her non-stress test at 34 weeks and passed with flying colors, her doc said. She was 4 lbs 10 ozs last check which is the 25%. She feels like she growing like a weed. She did flip not that it matters however I can tell her butt is jammed up against my ribs. It used to be her head. Either end is painful and makes sleeping very difficult despite ambien induced sleep. The last few weeks are the hardest and testing my pain tolerance (which isn't that high). I often wake up in tears due to muscle constriction and pace the living room. And I was concerned about not " feeling her" at 19 weeks. My OB said you will be begging for this in a few weeks....ain't it so! I love feeling her move and poke its the jabbing and muscle pulling that can go!

Three weeks to my scheduled c section and I am definitely counting down. Braxton hicks are definitely happening and last weekend I peed myself (thank goodness at home!) I had 2 wonderful baby showers and my parents and sis have been super supportive!!

I met with doula today and had car set installed. Checking things off the list and trying not to think too much about the csection itself. Although I could do without the unsolicited comments of how much harder they are then vaginal delivery.

Time to do one more thing on my to do list to feel productive (3 things a day!!) and hopefully sleep a few hours pain free.

Can't wait to see you my sweet rainbow.

  1. Everyone I know says that a planned c-section isn't anywhere near as bad as an unscheduled one.

And let's face it, no matter how you do it, birthing hurts! :) But you have a wonderful reward that makes the pain all worth it.

I hope she drops soon and you're more comfortable.

  2. almost there!
And actually, I think a first time labor and first time vaginal delivery is FAR harder on a woman than a scheduled C-section. The worst, though, is laboring, trying for a vaginal delivery then ending up with a c-section. Those are probably the women you are hearing from. That is not your situation and I trust you'll be fine! Can't wait to "meet" her too!
